On individual beat pages, a list of users on that beat.
This will make more sense as more users use the site -- an easy way to find the people who update most often on the "education" beat, for example.

E-mail notifications for certain events
Basic ideas for notification cues: A new answer on my question, being watched by someone new, an @username mention in a question or answer.
Status: startedIn progress. There's a notification for every new answer to your questions. We'll have to add controls on the edit profile page to allow users to modify their notification settings, and think about what other notifications make sense.

Post your update to Twitter, too.
Would you rather this be a checkbox on every update, or would you just choose on a settings page to post every update to Twitter?
